Elie Tahari - New York Spring-Summer 2012 Ready-To-Wear

 Mood/Style:
ancient Egypt and the elongated hour glass silhouettes of the 1940's were the inspirations for Elie Tahari's Spring 2012 collection, which popped with gold and sand accents as well as longer proportions. Buff shantung toppers and silk harem pants  grazed the knees or calves, though select gold paillette mini dresses did touch the mid thigh. Sheer wind blown fabrics balanced jewel embellished fur vests, creating a series of rich and elegant separates. Regal folds of fabric along the back of select blazers were anchored by gold tassel belts, and accessorized by filigree sandals, metallic mesh pochettes, and large clutches
